European Research is organised by the European Union and administered by the European Commission. There are five year plans. The current is called Horizon 2020, which will end, you guessed right, in 2020. There are several parts of the programme that have an HPC component. They are listed below.

These page gives some of the important elements.  See the  project pages  for a list of individual projects. If we did forget anything, please let us know.

In September 2018, the  European Commission announced its intention to transfer the remaining H2020 budget related to HPC to the EuroHPC JU once that has been established. However, a small part is still left in the core H2020 programme. 

Digitial Europe, and Horizon Europe will be the successors to Horizon 2020.
